If you are shipping material to Beaumont Advanced Processing from outside the United States, please take a moment to review your shipping procedures.

Recent updates to international shipping regulations in 2025 are affecting how samples move across the border. Specifically, changes to the De Minimis Exemption mean that small sample packages are now facing increased scrutiny.

We want to help you avoid indefinite hold-ups at customs so we can start your project on time.

What is changing? In the past, low-value shipments often qualified for exemptions that allowed them to move through customs quickly with less paperwork. New tariff regulations mean that all imports of any declared value will now be subject to formal import procedures and will incur tariffs.

Without the correct paperwork and payment, your material could be detained and incur storage fees, be disposed of, or returned to you. This delays the arrival of your resin and prevents us from starting the material characterization process on time.

Checklist: What to send with your material To ensure your material arrives without issues, every international shipment must include the following four items. Please verify these before shipping:

      • Material Characterization Order Form: This provides us with the specific testing details we need. Download the Order Form Here
      • Commercial Invoice: This is mandatory for every international shipment, regardless of size or value.
      • TSCA Declaration: You must include a Toxic Substance Control Act (TSCA) Declaration. This document must reference the specific Tariff code for your plastic material.
      • Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS): This must be provided in English.

Why this preparation matters Correct documentation prevents border delays. This allows us to receive your material and start testing on time.

PLEASE NOTE: BEAUMONT IS NOT LIABLE FOR TARIFFS OR CUSTOMS COSTS ASSOCIATED WITH BORDER AND CUSTOMS CONTROL.

Preparing for these changes now prevents surprise expenses on your end. It ensures a smooth process from the moment the material leaves your facility to the moment we complete your testing.
