From Lab Transfer to Sales Management: Seth’s Journey in Plastics Injection Molding

Seth's journey with Beaumont isn't your typical entry story. It all began in February 2017 with a monumental task: the relocation of the Autodesk Material Characterization Lab from Ithaca, NY, to Erie, PA.

This was Seth's inaugural project, and for the past 8 years, he's been a dedicated BAP staff member, progressing from materials lab technician to division sales manager. He jumped in alongside Jacob Trott, who is now the Director of Material Characterization, and Jacob spearheaded the immense effort of transferring both critical knowledge and specialized equipment.

It was during this hands-on experience that Seth was first introduced to Beaumont Advanced Processing (BAP). He often credits Jacob's mentorship during this period as the spark that ignited his passion for plastics injection molding. That initial spark has since blossomed into a significant career. 

Today, Seth proudly serves as BAP’s Sales Manager and is a graduate of the prestigious AIM Institute Plastics Technology Engineering (PTE) program.

In his role, Seth is the primary facilitator for all incoming customer requests. This includes everything from production molding and material characterization (Autodesk data fitting services) to test specimen molding and tool build projects. Seth emphasizes that understanding a customer's needs is paramount.

"Learning the customers' needs is number one on my list for developing a collaborative relationship and building the best path forward for each new project," he states.

He highlights the importance of truly listening to customer goals, in order to determine the required tooling or molding services needed to help them be successful.  For Seth, the customer's needs always come first. He's quick to add, "If I don’t know an answer, I’ll find one with the support of my amazing team of engineers."
